Whether in summer or winter, our guests enjoy unique leisure and sporting opportunities in this area. Winter sports fans can take advantage of 6 ski-lifts, 50 km of cross-country ski-tracks or even the longest (4 km) toboggan run in the whole of the Black Forest. In the summertime the well-signposted hiking trails allow you to explore the region at length.
You shouldn’t miss going to see the Kaiserstuhl (Emperor’s Chair) hills whilst in the Black Forest, and be sure to take a trip to Alsace, Colmar or Strasbourg! In so doing you will pass through the beautiful wine-growing areas and villages of the Baden Wine Route, and you needn’t be a wine connoisseur to enjoy what the fascinating local countryside has to offer.
Zürich, Basel, Lucerne or Freiburg on Lake Constance are also within easy reach for a day-trip, or somewhat closer to home you can enjoy a trip to the Feldberg mountain, or the nearby Schluchsee and Titisee lakes.
